State Board of Education Meeting
The State Board of Education will be hearing a request by the Arkansas Virtual Academy (ARVA) to increase their enrollment. ARVA is an open enrollment charter school serving students statewide via a virtual environment. ARVA currently has an enrollment cap of 500 students and thus, cannot access so many kids who would like the chance to learn in a virtual public school. At this time, there are over 1,000 students on ARVA’s wait list. The school is requesting that the cap be lifted to 1,500.
Please support our efforts to promote and advocate for the further advancement of public virtual education and distance learning opportunities by attending the meeting.
